01 — Escrow for independent work

Contractsthatpaythemselves.

Sunvasi is a milestone-based escrow platform for cross-border freelance work. Funds are held in USDC, released by agreement, and arbitrated by an AI when you don't agree.

  • 0% platform fee during beta
  • USDC on Stellar
  • 60-second AI arbitration

02 — The problem

“Two months ago, My account got banned. Why? I don't know.”
— Anonymous Lagos developer, March 2026

Trust runs in one direction. A client in Berlin has no signal that the freelancer in Lagos will deliver. A freelancer in Lagos has no signal that the client will pay. Platforms in the middle take 15% and freeze accounts when something looks off.

The wire is slower than the deadline. Bank transfers from abroad take three to seven days. They lose another five to ten percent to FX. Payments arrive after the work is finished and before the next month's rent.

The currency loses value as the email waits. The Naira moved six percent in a single month last spring. A delay isn't just a delay — it's a haircut.

03 — How it works

Five steps. No mystery.

  1. 01

    Create the contract.

Title, milestones, acceptance criteria, amounts. Sunvasi types it like a printed agreement.

  2. 02

    Client funds in one click.

A public link, an email auth, a card payment. Funds land in a non-custodial escrow on Stellar.

  3. 03

    You work. You deliver.

Upload files, paste links, write notes. Each milestone is a small contract of its own.

  4. 04

    Funds release on approval.

The client approves, the milestone releases. Or it auto-releases after the agreed window.

  5. 05

    Disputes resolved in 60 seconds.

An AI arbitrator reviews the evidence, both sides, and the acceptance criteria. Partial verdicts are normal.

04 — The arbitrator

When agreements break,
fairness shouldn't take weeks.

An AI reads the contract, the acceptance criteria, the evidence each side submits, and the working history. It can ask one clarifying question of each party. It produces a transparent verdict — release this percentage to the freelancer, refund the rest — with reasoning a non-lawyer can read in under ninety seconds.

The verdict is signed and final unless confidence is “insufficient,” in which case no funds move and the dispute escalates to a human reviewer.

05 — Built for the corridor

We started where the trust problem is most expensive.

Sunvasi is built first for Nigerian freelancers and their foreign clients — the corridor where a delayed wire becomes a real loss in real currency. Everything in the product is designed so that neither side has to notice they're using crypto. A client pays with a card and a confirmation email. A freelancer cashes out to Naira via Yellow Card.

If it works here, it works everywhere. But here is where it has to work first.

  • Lagos · Abuja · Port Harcourt
  • Off-ramp: Yellow Card · Onboard · Busha
  • Settlement in ~5 seconds
